You may already know us, Mike and Brenda McKinley of Cassopolis, MI, for our involvement in local clubs such as the VFW, Conservation Club and American Legion. Or you may have met us at one of the many fund raisers we help put on for friends and neighbors who are going through difficult times. You may have met us at the Annual Horse-A-Thon, which raises money for support of Special Olympics. Or you may have attended one of the 4H seminars or local school Equestrian Team practices in our arena. You may have listened to Mike's bluegrass bands "The McKinley Report" or "Lost Road Ramblers" or attended one of the area open bluegrass jams. We are now in our 5th year of another community project - McKinleys Harmony Acres Indoor Public Riding Arena.
On our 100 acre farm on Library Road, off M-60 between Cassopolis and Niles, MI we have built an arena, open to the public, to accommodate any number of horse riding events, with a free-span riding area of 80 x 220, with 10x12 stalls. We offer boarding, day riding, and clinics in various disciplines. The third weekend of the month we hold barrel racing and gaming contests from November through March.
We breed, train and show foundation bred appaloosa horses, host special events and private parties. We also rent out ponies and an inflatable jumphouse for children's parties. We invite you to come by and visit us. We have overnight stalling, family packages and weekend riding packages available.
